Okay, I thought summer break was when you're supposed to be sitting around all day doing nothing and resting, right? Because that's definitely not been my experience!

Friday I went to visit my grandparents as well as cousins #2-#4. #2 and #3 came with my grandparents and my great-aunt to meet us for lunch at a little bar and grill in a nearby town, where I had a lovely burger and fries. And then I was supposed to play Minecraft with those two once we got back to my grandparents' house (with difficulty, because some torrential floods made roads literally impassable--we would've drowned like that old couple in the movie Titanic--but my grandma had a bunch of clothes for me, and so #3 and I got distracted putting on a fashion show. She also put my hair up in a messy bun, which I'd never done before, but I really liked it! Although, #justclosetedthings, she said it made my face look "too feminine". To which I replied, "duly noted".

I let her build a secret base in (a copy of) my Minecraft forever world, as #2 was playing on it. We were all supposed to play together, but #3 took long enough that #4 got home, and so we couldn't. He's adorable, but he commands a lot of attention. Which I suppose makes sense, what with his being six and all. Anyways, we had Casey's pizza (yech) for dinner, I somehow got to watch half of Transformers One (I wasn't much fonder of that than the pizza), and got out of there hopelessly late. And didn't remember everything, so my grandparents, #2 and #3 met us for lunch somewhere in between our houses the other day. It was this terribly depressing buffet--not good at all. And #2, when I brought up k-dramas, went on an unfunny joke tirade calling them "gay-dramas" (whilst simultaneously trying to get me into anime, which seems like some sort of contradiction). But oh well, what can you do about it.

Besides that, I've been hanging out with Green and Blue! Last night, we went over to Blue's house, and we watched Sister Act (a splendid movie) and Blue made us some delicious lentil soup and watermelon juice! And we were very well-fed beside that. I mean, we were basically having a five-course meal throughout the night like some sort of French nobility. We also went to a little local art show last weekend! And then Blue (Green was busy) came round and we watched Dance Moms and played Wii Sports. I wasn't able to hang out with my friends this much, or perhaps I just wasn't as motivated to, but I love hanging out a lot more. Even if it does mean I don't have as much time to myself, with my class and my work as well--c'est la vie, and hanging out with my friends is worth it!

Speaking of work, I have to go get ready, because I have to be at work in half an hour. I remember the time going faster last year, but maybe that's just a mandela effect or something. In any case, I only have to work four hours tonight! Much better than the eight I have to put in tomorrow and Saturday. But alas. Toodles!

It's a long weekend! My college very graciously gave us today off, so I'm sitting back in my room at home having a swell old time. So far this morning I read a book on how to write a romance novel (which I plan to do one day--a Regency romance in the style of Jane Austen or Georgette Heyer) and surfed the Net for a while. Specifically I was looking at "IndieWeb" sites I found on Marginalia, which is one of my favourite hot spots for finding new sites. I think a lot of those sites are pretty cool! Even if some of them still have corporate-ish modern-ish design, which feels a bit ironic to me somehow. I don't like that modern, corporate style (you know the kind--think Weebly/Wix/Squarespace) anyhow--it's so soulless, it makes me sick to look at.

But I digress. I don't really have much planned for today, except that I have a club meeting to lead around 7:00. My mum and I thought we might have some pasta for lunch, but beside that I'm totally free! I think I might play some Splatoon and watch a little YouTube, given that since Lent is over, I no longer have to restrict my non-necessary YouTube-watching to one day per week. Although I'm still going to dry to watch much more conservatively--I like actually getting out there and surfing the Net, or even better, getting off the computer and reading a book/watching TV/crocheting (which I need to pick back up)/etc. I was crocheting a scarf with some cool, multi-coloured (a lot of neon mixed with some black--it's almost MySpace scene-styled!) yarn, but at some point I kind of fell off it. It's pretty lop-sided, anyways--my first crochet project that's not a square--but I still want to finish it for next winter, and hope people won't noticed the many places where I somehow lost a stitch on the end and tried to lengthen it back out a few rows later.

Easter was yesterday! Quite fun. I helped my cousin's kids (I find it inexplicably weird that I'm old enough to have cousins that are old enough to be married and have kids, but that's what happens when siblings are born far apart) with organizing their candy post-Easter egg hunt (which was indoors, because Missouri got some fierce rain yesterday, and I think even tornado warnings in some places) and very profitable for the kids, considering there were only a couple kids and something like a hundred eggs.

In other news, downstairs my cousins and I recounted family drama like a reality show reunion episode, and one of my cousin's asked me, of all people what the sitch is on the bars in my college town. Now I don't know how I come across to you, dear reader, but do I really seem like the kind to know an in-depth laydown on all the bars in a town? I've never even been to a bar! Except during the day, when they serve subpar food that takes an hour and a half to get to you even though there are only four other people in the entire place. When I told my mum about that later, she was cackling incredulously, just like when a teacher falsely accused me of talking about drug use at school in front of impressionable young minds. Part two of today I feel like Rory Gilmore.

But beside that, I got to stuff my face and all, and it was pretty good. Now I'm just looking forward to today! Already, TWS had their comeback with Countdown, and I really like it!! From the beginning, the chorus seemed very reminiscent of "If I'm S, Will You Be My N?" from last year, which got a lot of playtime on my iPod, especially during the fall semester, so I really liked it. This song is good, just like all of their title tracks so far! (Although Last Festival wasn't nearly as good as the others--it felt like a weird yet enjoyable misstep) It doesn't reach the heights of "Hey! Hey!" for me, which was probably my favourite new song of last year, along with dearALICE's Made in Korea soundtrack songs, and it could use a bridge to take it up to a 10/10, but for me it's already a solid 8.5 or 9 out of 10.

And that's about it for today! I'm off to get dressed and have a splendid day. Toodles!

OK, so, HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN?!? Like two and a half weeks?? Since I wrote a blog post. I would've written last weekend, since this week was my spring break. Except it wasn't really my spring break. Well, it was, but it sure as heck wasn't a break. I've had some crap to do every single day, and I don't even remember half of it. But I've had to do taxes, and my FAFSA, and other... crap? I've also had to visit family, but I got to hang out with #3 a lot more than before when I went to see them all on Monday! She and I ran away from her quarrelling older brothers to hide out and have some time to chillax. I also went on a country walk, which would have been very quaint if it weren't so dang hot. But I did climb over my first fence gate to my knowledge on Monday, and actually climbed over eight or nine total!

Beside that, I've been busy and tired lately. Ugh! Part of me can't wait for summer holiday, but part of me is almost dreading it. Blue might not come home for summer break, and all my friends from college are from near a couple of bigger cities a few hours away, and it's also been a while since Pink and I spoke, so I might only have Green over the summer as an in-person friend. And I hate the hot, muggy summer weather. I just hope I get to have a fun summer break!

Oh, another thing I did over spring break is that my dad and I replaced the hard drive on my MacBook with an SSD and upgraded the RAM from 2 to 8 gigabytes! So it should be appearing (finally) on my computers page soon, as well as the new-ish iMac I installed an OS on that my mum got me from a co-volunteer of hers. That took me a good part of a day, and the same again with getting an OS on my MacBook. Oh yeah, and I spent last Saturday and part of Sunday on homework, because I had to write three essays for my English midterm. Oy vey.

But yeah, that's about it. Here's to hoping that I can have a more interesting and less hectic life so I can have some stuff to talk about here and I can post here more often! Toodles, everyone!

So I had a double-dip of cool stuff to do today. First, this afternoon, I did a cool little Bob Ross art class with a local organization. I have three more classes this week, and we're making one painting per day, so that'll be super cool! Second, I volunteered with some other people my age to make meals for the Ronald McDonald House and it was super fun! There were lots of jokes amongst us and stuff, plus we got to taste test bits/eat excess bread that couldn't fit in the pan when we made garlic bread. I'm doing it with the same organization one week from today, and I'm super excited. Plus, as a bonus Shut Up and Dance and Total Eclipse of the Heart, two pretty good songs, came on the radio on the way home, so I had a nice time jamming to those.

Also, yesterday, my mother and I travelled to her hometown for my grandfather's family reunion and we stopped off at my grandparents' house for a bit afterward. My little cousins showed me their paddleboat thing and my uncle showed me how to drive my grandpa's golf cart-like thing. I even got to drive it on the gravel roads that my grandparents and uncle live on. It was technically my second time doing that, but I'd rather count it as my first official time driving on real roads for some reason. The only side effect was that between driving the golf cart, plus like an hour and a half each way to get there/get home, and probably half an hour on the merry-go-round thing thanks to my cousins make me spin them, my head was spinning slightly all day.

On the annoying side, though, apparently my grade has to go on a "team-building" day retreat this autumn, which I'm dreading. At least we don't have to spend the night there and sleep in weird, uncomfortable beds like the last retreat, though.

Anyways, that's pretty much all that I have to talk about right now, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

Hey, I'm back! So quite a few things have happened recently. First off, I've been watching more Facts of Life, and apparently it's on weekdays from 11 AM to around 4 PM, so that's around 10 episodes a day! Anyways, I really love the show and I love laying on the couch and watching it. Also, because of The Facts of Life, I've started to love 80s/90s design, and I kinda like the vapourwave aesthetic. I may well redesign the site around that in the future, but I'd have to do a lot of experimenting first, so I don't eff it up. But I did manage to make an 80s-inspired logo for this site, however, which you might find around the site soon.

Also, I've been considering being a Vtuber after one of my favourite YouTubers, Wolfychu, made a livetreaming Vtuber channel where she makes gaming videos, and I kinda wanna do the same. If you don't know what a Vtuber is, it's a YouTuber or Twitch streamer who, instead of using their face, use 2D or 3D characters, which are normally anime-inspired.

Other than that, my grandparents stopped by today as my grandpa had a doctor's appointment in the city I live in, and we watched some Facts of Life, and my grandma gave me $20. It was the first time that I'd seen them in quite a while, so it was pretty fun!

But yeah, that's pretty much all, and I'm gonna go now. Bye!

So this is gonna be a quick, short entry but quite a bit has happened in the last few days. Firstly, I beat Pokemon SoulSilver yesterday and started playing Pokemon Pearl! I've also started working on a Pokemon page for this site, where I'll talk about my favourite Pokemon and stuff like that as well as my teams in each of the games I've played, so be looking out for that soon!

Speaking of Pokemon, I've also downloaded Pokemon Go and played it quite a lot the past few days. I was four or five years behind the trend, but what can I say? That's the way I roll! But anyways, it's actually got me out of the house for once! Today and yesterday, I went on walks around my neighbourhood to catch Pokemon, and my favourite Pokemon I've got on one of these walks so far is a Torchic that I got yesterday, which was my Pokemon Emerald started as well as probably my favourite starter overall. I especially walked a lot today (about 4km, I think!), and even got a Charizard!

Also, yesterday, I had to go to a family gathering at my grandparents' place, which involved me slipping downstairs and watching TV for a bit, and facepalming at some game show contestant who got some simple questions wrong, as well as the time my little cousin claimed that the Bible is about concrete. So overall, quite an interesting visit. But yeah, I'll talk to y'all later, bye!
