Yesterday seemed to span the whole emotional range for me. When I first woke up, I was really nervous because I went over to Grey's apartment for the first time! He lives with his brother and sister-in-law, and I was terrified to meet his family for the first time! But they were both really nice, and according to Grey had good first impressions of me. Phew!

After that, I was just happy. I love spending time with Grey, and I'm basically addicted at this point. He has a calming presence, and he says I do, too. We watched some TV in his living room (Supernanny and Dance Moms, as expected from my highly sophisticated palate) and then we snuggled up under some blankets in his room and watched Wendigoon until we had lunch---which my highly skilled boyfriend made! I swear, he knows how to do everything. He can also play instruments, and draw, and edit videos and animate and probably like twenty other things!! Anyways, he made us some yummy fettucine alfredo and then we played some Minecraft for a few short minutes until we worked on a project for my creative writing class that he's helping with---we have to do something artistic that's outside the realm of creative writing, so I got him with his artistic multi-hyphenated-ness to help me! We worked on that for a while and then I had to go home. :( But I get to see him again tomorrow! :)

Then I kind of did nothing for a few hours---it was very relaxing. In the evening, however, I went out with my parents to their traditional Tuesday night dinner, and that's where it got more stressful. Firstly, my highly sensitive dad (/s) misgendered me and honestly, it feels like he isn't even trying to accept me as trans. It feels like a little thing to be so upset about but it was the cherry on top of my annoyances. My mum was asking what all stuff I had left to do for my study abroad semester and she meant well by it, but it stressed me out because there's a lot of stuff to do and I don't fully understand a lot of it. And I'm tired because I haven't been able to get to sleep at a decent/early time since coming back for Thanksgiving---not that I was getting enough sleep beforehand, but it's worse. So all this amounted to me being crabby. Thankfully, I had driven separately from my parents, so I left early (they're friends with one of the owners of their favourite restaurant and their chats tend to go till very late) and drove around town with my iPod on the car stereo to blow off some steam before going home.

And then I rewatched some clips of Crash Landing On You, one of my favourite K-dramas, and sobbed.

So yeah, yesterday took me through probably each one of the major emotions. Today I actually got a lot of stuff done for once, so I've been pretty happy today, and I think I'm going to have a good day tomorrow! As long as my Mean Aunt doesn't start anything at Thanksgiving---although it would be a shame not to be able to use the speech I developed in my head in case that happens, as I'm kind of proud at some of the stuff in there. If it went well, that is, and didn't end in me being disowned by the entire family. But in any case, I get to hang out with Grey tomorrow morning! So I'll at least have a highlight of my day. Toodles!

purplehello98: (Default)

I've had three great days in a row! If you remember how I said this summer that I was going to make it my best summer ever (at least so far) (which I think I succeeded at, by the way), I think this is going to be my best Thanksgiving break yet as well! 2025 has been a really great year for me. It hasn’t been perfect, but I’ve had an amazing summer, and I got to visit Korea!! And I’ve solidified and deepened a lot of my friendships at college, and I got a boyfriend who’s amazing and wonderful, and I also got to go visit my best friend out west and it’s just generally really amazing!

Saturday, although I was sleepy, I had a nice time chilling most of the morning and afternoon, and my dad and I went out for lunch! We had a nice conversation and it was nice to actually bond with him for once--not a common occurrence. In the afternoon, I went to a thrift store and bought some books, and then hung out at the public library until it closed, where I managed to get my Windows XP laptop (which has been having serious charger issue, as if my MacBook not charging wasn't enough) to actually charge! Then in the evening, Grey and I went into town and had Korean for dinner! It was really great, although we over-ordered--we got kimbap and Korean fried chicken assuming that's all they would give you, but they also give every table fried rice and Korean pancakes. Yeah, we had a lot of leftovers. And that sweetheart insisted I take them all!

Then we drove around for a while, trying to find a nice place to park and just sit and stargaze and relax, but we kept getting lost. But that just made it more of a fun adventure! We eventually just settled on a school parking lot outside of town, and we chatted, and cuddled, and looked at each other's photo libraries and started watching the first episode of Gilmore Girls on my iPod! Partway through we went to a convenience store to use the bathroom, and we got some soda and Skittles. It was a really great evening--and definitely one to remember!

Then yesterday, I had another relaxing morning and I talked with Blue on the phone. I’ve been worrying about whether or not I was 100% “ready” or whatever to make it official with Grey—which, I think, grew out of my whole love triangle dilemma type thing from a few months ago—but talking to Blue convinced me that I had to take life by the balls (so to speak) and just make it official! So I did. :) and it just so happened to be on the four-month anniversary of him asking me out!

And then I went into town and hung out with Ink at the mall! I saw her at Legally Blonde since she was part of that production, but beside that I hadn’t seen her in probably a year! We went to the food court and had lunch and complained about our respective professors/classmates, and then we walked around a bunch of stores and bought some stuff. The mall was having this little fair-type thing for local vendors to come in and sell, stuff so we found some cool stuff. Ink found this massive knit (crocheted?) mushroom cat and I found A) a little Stardew Valley chicken for me and B) part of Grey and Green’s Christmas gifts! Besides that, I acted as Eggshell’s personal shopper and bought him some fuzzy Bluey pyjama pants. I also got some mascara (which I had a minor fumble disaster applying this morning).

After that, we went to Five Below. I got Marble’s Christmas gift, and some Hello Kitty instant ramen (which is realllly good) and got myself a little Bluetooth lip phone thing that connects to my flip phone! Whenever I get or make a call, I can pick it up and talk from it. It’s almost like having a home phone! Except that I can’t actually make calls from it, and it also doesn’t ring. :( But maybe there’s one like that out there!

This morning Grey and I had a really nice date. :) First, we went to this little café in town where I got a pain au chocolat and an Earl Grey tea (although I think I let it steep too long), and then we went to the public library for a cute little study date. I was working on trying to figure out my XP laptop’s antivirus situation—which I got distracted and hyperfocused on (-_-) —and on my English final paper! It’s not due for another two weeks, but I figured it’d be good to get a head start! Look at me, being such a dutiful student! And I got a page and a half out of the four-to-six-page requirement done. So I’ll have an easier week next week! Although I didn’t get to A) working on my linguistics lesson plan project or B) e-mailing my creative writing professor about his bogus feedback on my short story like I meant to. (Okay, maybe the conflict wasn’t fully developed, but “no discernible main character and no real conflict” is bull. Especially considering the main character’s NAME is in the TITLE and she is the ONLY person whose thoughts we actually follow.) But I can do that tonight and tomorrow!

Then, Grey and I went out to get ramen for lunch! It was very yummy. I also got some mango lemonade! It reminded me of our first date, where I had mango boba. :) Grey’s totally great, but I think my favourite thing about him is how open he makes me feel. I feel like I can really be myself freely around him—I don’t have to mask my neurodivergency at all, and (although it’s still hard) I can open up about stuff as well. He’s really amazing. :) If you’re reading this, mwah! :3

Then I came home and watched The Paper—which I really like so far! Although I’ve only watched two episodes. But I like it. Esmerelda is my favourite character! And then I ended up taking a nap. I’ve been staying up late lately (ha) although I’m determined to change that tonight. Speaking of stuff that needs to happen tonight, I need to go heat up my leftovers from the Korean place for dinner! Toodles, everyone! :)

Alright, first of all, as a side note, I wanna say that I got both my hormones and my ADHD meds today! :D I'm very excited. This school year is going to be a new chapter in my life! And this summer has been amazing. I've experienced so many things for the first time. I had my first flight, went abroad for the first time (and that was to freaking KOREA!!!), and so on. Also, I finally got my driver's license on Wednesday! So that's an even more exciting week.

But the big thing is that this week, I went on my first date! (I mean, I've talked to guys before, and I'm talking to another guy at the same time right now, but that guy lives far away, so this is my first real, official date!) I'm pretty sure I mentioned him a few weeks ago--this guy (who's pretty cute if I do say so myself (which I do)) came through my register one night when I was at work and asked if I wanted to get coffee! It was really cute--and a big ego boost to boot--and, as it turns out, he had come through my register before and developed a little crush on me. :) So every time he had to buy groceries, he checked to see if I was there--but no dice until the night he asked me out! He said he was insanely nervous, but he took the bull by the horns and asked me out! It's really adorable, like something you'd see in a movie or a TV show! It feels like the story of how your grandparents met or something. (Which is fitting, really, because he has a divorced dad aesthetic.)

And so we went out for boba the other day and had a nice chat, and then we saw The Naked Gun! (A very funny movie, by the way.) It was great. We held hands for about half the movie, and kept shooting each other these goofy grins. We hugged afterwards, and we're going to see each other again next week and go watch Freakier Friday! (By the way, the trailer makes it look like the girls are going to break up Lindsay Lohan and Manny Jacinto in favour of her dating Chad Michael Murray. I hope that doesn't happen, because Manny Jacinto is a lot more attractive!)

Anyways, this guy and I get along really well so far. Let's see how things go! Although the whole talking-to-multiple-guys-at-once thing is... a lot? I feel wrong somehow, even though I'm not exclusive with either of them. And I don't want to choose between them until I can hopefully visit the long-distance guy soon and go on a date or two with him... so that's preventing me from being as happy, since the whole situation really seems very precarious. But I suppose I should just take it one day at a time? Do y'all have any advice for me in that area? I would REALLY REALLY appreciate some!

Besides that, my coworker friend and I watched some more of The Osbournes today, as well as some Chris Hansen. (The Osbournes don't act like people... are they seriously real?!?) She made some delicious caramel cookies and I tried French onion dip for the first time as well! Not together, of course.

So yeah, it's been a very eventful week. :)

purplehello98: (Default)
That's right, I'm officially on the coast of the Pacific Ocean! Or the Specific Ocean, as I called it amidst giggles. (Seriously, isn't that funny?) The plane went really well--it was my first plane ride too! Take-off was a little freaky but that was it. Although next up we have a thirteen-hour plane ride, which I'm kind of dreading. But I'll probably be sleeping for most if it anyway. It's about midnight back in Missouri time and I didn't sleep the best last night, which means I'm tired, which means I'm loopy. Some people get drunk, I get tired. I've also been speaking in French/a French accent, because as I told my mum, the more tired I get the more French I get.

Anyways, this California airport is boujee as heck!! There's a fast food chain, a yoga room, and more! I mean, not to sound like an ad, but still. This is basically a mall that airplanes just so happen to take off from!

Because of time zone weirdness, I don't think we'll be eating "dinner" until some ungodly hour of the night (the flight from Missouri to California, even though it was exactly during dinner hours, was only four hours so we didn't get a meal) so I think I might go get a snacky snack now, or at least walk around since soon I'll be deprived of that luxury for half a day. I think I'll be sleeping a lot on the plane though, at least! Apparently when we actually get to Korea it'll be about 5:00 AM their time, but we'll be spending most of a day on there so I should get some good sleep, and anyhow I can also sleep on the bus ride to the suburb we'll be staying in.

The flip phone is still working well!

Okay, well I'm about to go walk around and maybe grab a bite, and definitely watch YouTube and crap. I'm so tired and loopy! And bored. Or something. I watched The Mindy Project on the plane for the first time, and it was pretty funny. I also watched a James Acaster special, and I have to say I think he was funnier on Taskmaster. I mean, the special didn't really feel like a whole special, more like a random chat you have with your friends that's going nowhere. But I digress. I also watched the first episode of the Big Bang Theory and it was alright, I guess. Penny's outfits were cute. Some of the jokes were a bit yikes though. Okay, NOW I'm gonna go walk and stuff. Toodles! See you in KOREA!!!!!

P.S. this guy on the intercom just joked "if you don't have a smartphone... get a smartphone". This feels targeted at me!!

P.P.S. potential k-drama-esque romance story. More to come later when i'm coherent.
purplehello98: (Default)
Well, today my only class was cancelled, so I've been having a relatively chill morning in! So far, I've finished my statistics and compsci homework (with some struggling, especially with the stats!), and I've had four cups of tea. (Or rather three and two-halves--one cup of Earl Grey got lukewarm too quickly and this blueberry lemon tea I tried for the first time tasted like cleaning supplies. Yech.)

And I'm not talking normal teacups, either, or even normal mugs, but this bigger tumbler-like thing I got from Starbucks ages ago that my parents found in the back of the cupboard at home. I'd say it's probably a mug and a half-sized, so that means I've had (humanities major struggling to do math) six cups of tea today! (And some nice biscuits--thanks, Mum!) And so when I was making my last thing of tea, I had a flashback to that scene from the first episode of Gilmore Girls:

Me: Please, Lizzie, please, please, please.
Also me: How many cups have you had today?
Me: None.
Also me: Plus?
Me: Three. But the fourth is better.

Well, shall I start shopping scripts out to the networks? I mean, my principal in fourth grade did compliment my comedic timing in our class play on the fifty states... maybe I've just got that magic touch.

Anyways, I'm going to have some Chinese food and Gilmore Girls (very topical, eh?) for lunch as my reward for a (relatively, consider I kinda slept like crap) productive morning, and then onwards to Citation Station to finish up my English essay.
purplehello98: (Default)
I went home this past weekend for tax reasons, and was able to get back into my family's Netflix account (apparently, if you don't log into it at home every month or so you can't use it when away from home) and so today I sat down and watched some Gilmore Girls with my lunch! And it struck me that I feel very Rory Gilmore-esque today. This whole week, even, I feel like I will be very Rory-esque. (Except the fact that I'm writing this in my statistics class right now instead of paying attention... but I'm too busy for that today, in my defense!)

Well, to start, tonight I have to lead a club meeting, as well as an executive board meeting beforehand, so I had to write up an agenda and send out an e-mail, and this, that and the other. And for some reason, after having a very lovely and unstressful week last week, everything seems to have cooperated to make this week busy. I have a big essay due later on in the week that I was too exhausted (something to do with my allergies/allergy meds, I think?) to work on much over the weekend, like I had planned to do. And I have to do exec stuff for one club, and planning, and sign up to run for exec for another next semester. And I have some statistics assignments to do, and a French take-home quiz to do (which was also supposed to be done over the weekend, but my professor didn't send it until almost midnight on Saturday night), and a movie to watch for linguistics, and AGH!

I really don't know how Rory Gilmore was doing this busy extracurricular and studying-all-the-time stuff all throughout high school--I'm in college and it's still such a juggling act. I mean, I literally was juggling just before this class what could I do in class (anything on my computer, because I have the plausible deniability that I was "looking at slides" or something) and what would be gauche (breaking out a book and reading Frankenstein or finding citations for my Jane Eyre essay). I mean, one of the most engaged students in the class (always asking the teacher questions and such) is sitting on his phone right now and has been all class. But still, I do feel bad for not paying closer attention in class--perhaps what's keeping me from being like Rory Gilmore. Although even she had her terrible unacademic, crash-out-y moments during college (I don't want to spoil, but if you know you know!). So perhaps I'm not so unlike her after all, although she isn't a perfect aspirational figure anyway.

purplehello98: (Default)

So today, I've watched three and a half or four episodes (I can't remember which) of 7th Heaven. I saw my dad watching it on TV a while ago and it interested me, so when I found out that it's on Hulu, I started watching right away.

Also, speaking of TV, if you've read almost any of my recent blog posts, you'll know that I love Murder, She Wrote. Well, there's a series of tie-in books starring the show's main character, Jessica Fletcher. Anyways, my parents have been going through my mother's books for some reason, and I was asking them if we could have pizza for dinner, when I found one on top of a stack. I looked around some more, and noticed four more! So yeah, after I finish the book I'm reading right now, I'll get on reading those!

Speaking of pizza, we had some tonight, and by some miracle, I managed to eat two slices (which isn't that abnormal) plus a whopping FOUR breadsticks! I'm surprised I didn't go into one of those "food comas" where you nap after you eat a lot! And honestly, whenever my family buys a pizza, that's normally dinner for two or three nights since we normally get two pizzas.

Also, it's less than two weeks until school. Ugh. What's annoying is that they're trying to make us go on some dumb team-building day, which includes a high rope course and ziplining. I have gotten this far in my life without having to climb ropes, and I wouldn't like to start now with some dangling ropes that are feet above the ground. Also, I'm probably making this seems worse in my mind than it really will be, but I still really don't want to go ziplining. Ugh.

But yeah, anyways, that's all that I have to talk about tonight, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

purplehello98: (Default)

As quickly as the rain came, it left. It only lasted one day, and though it's still below thirty (until Friday, when it's supposed to be back to 32), it's now sunny once again. *sigh*

Alas, the back to school push is back. I need to film my two video reviews for English (my mum is also insisting that I do a third), and yesterday, my parents and I went to Kohl's to find me some new school pants. I ended up with a few pairs of jeans, and the realization that for some reason Kohl's no longer has mens' skinny jeans. There's "classic", "straight", "thin", and I think one other, but skinny jeans are apparently only for women. Speaking of womens' jeans, I saw these "super-fit" or whatever they're called jeans, which are supposed to fit like leggings. I tried on a pair, and the legs fit perfectly but the waistband was just a bit too big. I tried the next smaller size that I could find, and both the legs and the waistband were too tiny. Oh well.

Also, I've been wanting '80s hair recently, so today, I tried teasing it. It was only after this that I found out that it's apparently bad for your hair. It was a bit too tangly for me as well, but at least it looked kind of '80s-esque. :(

Also, I've been watching a lot of "The Family" sketches from the Carol Burnett Show lately, which were the basis for the show Mama's Family, if you don't know. I've also been watching sketches by those standup comedians that post sketches to YouTube, like John Crist. They're not all great, but there are some there that I think are somewhat funny.

But back to back to school. Before school starts, I have to visit my grandmother's again (my mother's picking up some things), get new school supplies, and I have a dentist appointment the day before school. Ugh. Oh well.

But yeah, anyways, that's all that I have to talk about for now, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

TV, Etc.

purplehello98: (Default)
So first off, today and yesterday, I've watched so much more Murder, She Wrote. At this rate, I'll probably finish the whole show before school starts back up.

Speaking of that, I got the supply list recently. I forgot what I ranked my choices as on the electives form, but I'm just hoping that I don't get a few certain classes. I don't want to gripe too lengthily, but yes, teachers have something to do with that.

Also, it was finally cloudy today! It's been nonstop sunny for the past week or so, so it was a relief that it was finally nice today. But, it'll only last so long: it's supposed to be thirty-six bleeding degrees both this Wednesday AND this Thursday! Thankfully, it's supposed to rain on Friday though. Thank God!

Also, I found out recently that they've posted episodes of The Facts of Life on YouTube. They being a YouTube channel called The Norman Lear Effect, dedicated to the shows of Norman Lear like Diff'rent Strokes (which Facts is a spinoff of), Maude, and of course, The Facts of Life. They have three episodes up now. I saw that they used to have another one (Mother and Daughter, from season 5) but I guess they got rid of it.

Speaking of TV, I kinda want to watch I Love Lucy. I just remembered a Golden Girls show where Blanche and Rose watch a marathon of it, and I've heard great things of it. I mean, if people still talk about it this long later, it must be worth watching!

Anyways, that's all that I have to talk about for now, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

purplehello98: (Default)

So today, I sat on the couch with my laptop and watched Murder, She Wrote for a good five hours or so in all on the TV. (Does time fly!) I wrote as well while I did it, and I felt like I really got something done! Honestly, I think that Cabot Cove kinda made me want to live in a small town, combined with Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. But I suppose that there's something to be said for city living as well.

And I'd want to live in a "big small" town as well, if that makes sense. I have some family that live near a small town (honestly, it might qualify as a village, I don't know for sure), but it's rather smaller than either Cabot Cove or Stars Hollow from what I know of them, and personally I'd rather the town I would live in have a population of maybe 10,000, and also maybe a 15 or 20 minutes' drive to the nearest decently-sized city, so I could go to a mall (I love malls) without having to drive for ages and all the kinds of stuff I'm used to living in a proper city. Also, I'd want the town to have a good Internet provider. In the words of my mother, said family's Internet in that town/village is "worse than dial-up". It actually takes a good few seconds to load the Google homepage.

Also, I want to branch out in terms of food. Nowadays, my family and I generally eat one of a few meals, but I really want to start eating more types of meals. We've checked out some cookbooks from the library, but haven't got around to making any new recipes from them soon. I hope we will soon.

Also, one of you commented on my profile asking to see my paintings from my Bob Ross classes. I just finished the classes up yesterday, and I have three paintings in all from them, as one took two days whilst the others took one each. Once they dry and I can find a place with better lighting than the room they're drying in, I intend to show you all pictures. But until then, suffice it to say that I think the last one is potentially my favourite painting that I've ever done. The reflection in the water is a bit weird, but other than that I think it's genuinely good!

Also, partially aided by my checking it out from the library after my mother influencing me to do so, I've finally set myself on reading Pride and Prejudice. Longtime readers of this blog (or just those of you all that have read through it all) will know that I loved the BBC's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (especially Mr Darcy!) so I'm super excited to see how much I like the original book.

Anyways, I should probably go cook myself some raviolis or something for dinner, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

purplehello98: (Default)

So today, I've been getting into 80s fashion. I kinda wanna get a big 80s curly type hairstyle, and I definitely wanna start dressing like an 80s teen pop type person with acid washed denim and abstract graphic t-shirts and bowler hats. So basically just Robin Sparkles from How I Met Your Mother.

Also, I've finished watching Facts of Life, or at least all that the Logo channel is going to show. They skipped a few episodes from the first 7 seasons, but they just flat-out skipped half to two-thirds of the last two seasons. What a rip-off! I guess I'll just have to buy the DVDs.

Also, despite the fact that I'm multiple years away from university, I've found myself thinking a lot about it and watching a lot of YouTube videos about university. I've already set up a university e-mail address for universities to e-mail me, as my school's university counslor recommended. I put said e-mail address on a standardized test recently as well, which has led to it being inundated with random universities e-mailing me, though most of them are (at least in my opinion) rather unremarkable. Oh well.

Anyways, that's pretty much all I have to talk about, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

purplehello98: (Default)

So it's finally rainy! The past few days, it's been rather annoyingly sunny, but suddenly, this afternoon it's super gloomy and it's supposed to rain rather heavily, so I'm a happy camper.

Also, in terms of Facts of Life, we've reached the Cloris Leachman/Beverly Ann years. During the season 8 premiere, when Mrs Garrett was telling each of the girls what they taught her, I literally sobbed. Also, I think they may be skipping a few episodes as thet run through all the seasons. They've also seemed to quit cutting random parts of scenes in favour of speeding most of the episodes up noticably, and I don't know if it's better or worse.

Also, speaking of missing parts of episodes, I'm watching the show on satellite and conveniently, the satellite started having weather issues just in the middle of this last episode. Oh well, I can just wait until they show it again or buy the DVDs on Amazon. That was the last episode of Facts of Life they're airing for the day anyway, so I guess I'll just watch some Full House or something on Hulu. Sitting on the couch with a quilt, writing my blog and watching old TV shows as it rains outside - how cozy!

Also, since when is Shaquille O'Neal in so many ads? I don't know if it's something that's always happened and I've just noticed recently or if it's only started happening recently, but it seems like he's in a ton of commercials. He's in a Frosted Flakes/Frosties ad, as well as some insurance company's ad. At this rate, I figure it's only a matter of time before Shaquille O'Neal is unescapable.

Anyways, I wanna go enjoy the coziness, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

purplehello98: (Default)

So I've been watching (what else?) more Facts of Life, and they've finally reached the era where George Clooney was on the show. In case y'all don't know, George Clooney got his big break playing George Burnett, a handyman/construction guy on the show. He was a main cast member in season 7, and recurring in season 8. Anyways, he was pretty handsome in the 80s, if I do say so myself. Honestly, I think that guys having dark, rather short, curly hair is just weirdly attractive to me. I mean, Colin Firth's Mr Darcy AND George Clooney circa 1985-87? 2 for 2 for the dark curly-haired hunks. I've also started watching Full House on Hulu, and Jesse was attractive too. Maybe men were just more attractive in the 80s and 90s? Who knows?

Anyways, my family and I went out to dinner again tonight. While we were there, some man who dresses like my grandpa walked up to us out of the blue and started chatting back and forth with my dad. Some woman (that I don't think I've ever seen in my life before tonight), who I believe is his wife, showed up behind him soon after and nodded at me like we were acquaintances. As it turns out, my father and his siblings went to school with this man and he was best friends with my father's older brother. Anyway, they chatted for a minute before the man and his wife (and some other guy who looked to be a bit older than the others, who might have been with them, idk).

Anyway, on the way home, there were some people working on the roads (like they have been for around two months now) on the way home, and as we passed them, there was just one of the workers looking at a machine thingy in front of him which was on fire (flames were like shooting up). Honestly, I wish that I had had time to take a photo of it, but sadly, we were but passing them on the highway of life.

Also, if any of you pay attention to the Now Reading section on my homepage (does anyone?), then you'll know that I've been reading a lot of Sarah Dessen books recently. I've read like 5 or 6 so far, and I just finished the last one I had on hand tonight at the restaurant. Thankfully, my mother dropped one off next to my desk before we left, so I have one to last another week or so, but sadly I've worn out all the Sarah Dessen books in my house and my local library, so I'll have to turn to some other YA books or maybe some more biographies/historicall books. I wish I had a Kindle but I don't :(

Anyways, other than that, I don't have much else to talk about, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

So yesterday and today, I've been trying to come up with a little tune to serve as the intro for my video diaries. I've made the channel icon and banner 80s-themed/vapourwave, in addition to my website's new logo, which is 80s-inspired, so I wanted it to sound 80s-esque. However, so far, though I've watched videos and dug through Garageband, I can't seem to find anything that sounds how I want it to. I've come up with a short draft, but even that seems a bit too simple, and the only 80s-style bits about it are that the drum loop I used was labelled "80s" and I used synthesizers for it that some guy on YouTube recommended. But alas, I had to resort to royalty-free music, though I think it's pretty cool royalty-free music.

I've also been watching some Sarah Millican clips on YouTube recently. She's a British comedian who has posted a lot of her clips as well as three of her standup shows to YouTube and they're hilarious! If I'm just having a so-so day, then I can pop one of her shows on and be laughing a ton and it'll just brighten my day!

Also, today, I (begrudgingly) went out for dinner for the first time since COVID, with my parents there as well. I had myself some toasted ravioli and french fries, which were both amazing, and my parents chatted with the owner for a bit before we made our way home. I also, of course, watched more Facts of Life this morning, which (other than two taped episodes I watched yesterday) were the first Facts of Life that I've watched this week, as yesterday, when Facts of Life normally airs, there was a marathon of Married with Children on. I don't know how long it was on for before I checked, but I looked at the TV guide feature thing on the TV at about 11 AM, and it was on until ELEVEN PM! How can you watch one show for so long?

Anyways, that's pretty much all that I have to talk about, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

So there have been some pretty big changes since my last blog post! I debuted the new redesign, and I'll probably tweak it slightly in the coming days. I've also started to design a new button design to go with my new aesthetic. There are also a few quirks in the French section that I need to fix, and I honestly should generally work more on that section.

Anyways, last night and today I've painted my nails for the first time in a while. I almost messed it up quite a bit, but I somehow saved it. Anyways, this morning, the channel I've been watching the Facts of Life on aired The Facts of Life Goes to Paris. Or rather, most of it. When they rerun it, they apparently air it as four 30-minute episodes instead of one 2-hour TV movie, and they aired the first part last afternoon. I thought that I had recorded it, but I guess I didn't. However, I was still able to pick up most of the plot, and it was really great! That guy that Jo dated was like, so amazing, so now I've started to yearn again. What joy.

Also, today, I found out that it's harder than you might think to scoop ice cream with a cookie scooper. But yeah, I'm gonna stop rambling now, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

So recently, I've been working behind the scenes on a potential redesign of this site. It has a space/star background, and an 80s-inspired logo, and a slightly different colour scheme for links and stuff. Right below is an image with a comparison between my current design on the left and my potential redesign on the right.

So yeah, tell me which one you prefer on my Neocities profile.

But yeah, other than that, my life has been carrying on like before, for the most part. However, I'm pretty annoyed atm because I noticed that the Facts of Life reruns that I've watching a) are only on Monday through Thursday and b) have quite a few bits cut out, as well as the theme song sped up in some instances to make room for more annoying adverts. Why must the Logo channel do this?!?
Also, it's been raining super hard recently where I live. Honestly, I'm pretty sure that this is the most rain that I've seen in a 36-hour period in my whole life, and there's been over ten cm since last evening. Plus, (much to my delight) it's supposed to be rainy until at least Thursday, though I hope it calms down somewhat. Below I have a bit of footage that I took of the rain, so you all can see just how hard it's been raining.

By the way, I've been uploading some short clips of cool things that I see on my YouTube channel, so if that sounds cool to you, then go check that out!
But yeah, that's pretty much all that I have to say, so I'll talk to you later. Bye!

Hey, I'm back! So quite a few things have happened recently. First off, I've been watching more Facts of Life, and apparently it's on weekdays from 11 AM to around 4 PM, so that's around 10 episodes a day! Anyways, I really love the show and I love laying on the couch and watching it. Also, because of The Facts of Life, I've started to love 80s/90s design, and I kinda like the vapourwave aesthetic. I may well redesign the site around that in the future, but I'd have to do a lot of experimenting first, so I don't eff it up. But I did manage to make an 80s-inspired logo for this site, however, which you might find around the site soon.

Also, I've been considering being a Vtuber after one of my favourite YouTubers, Wolfychu, made a livetreaming Vtuber channel where she makes gaming videos, and I kinda wanna do the same. If you don't know what a Vtuber is, it's a YouTuber or Twitch streamer who, instead of using their face, use 2D or 3D characters, which are normally anime-inspired.

Other than that, my grandparents stopped by today as my grandpa had a doctor's appointment in the city I live in, and we watched some Facts of Life, and my grandma gave me $20. It was the first time that I'd seen them in quite a while, so it was pretty fun!

But yeah, that's pretty much all, and I'm gonna go now. Bye!

So I've been playing some more Pokemon Pearl recently, and it's been going great! I do wish that I had an Eevee though, as it's my favourite Pokemon. Speaking of Pokemon, my Pokemon page is also going great! I think I'll work a bit more on it today and/or tomorrow and then publish it!

Also, I've just generally had a super week! A few days ago, I turned on the TV and found out that some channel had Gilmore Girls, and then like three or so hours of Facts of Life, two of my favourite shows! Just sitting on the couch and watching my favourite shows is so amazing. It's like how you're more excited when you hear your favourite song on the radio than when you play it on your iPod, seeing on the channel list thingy that your favourite show is playing is super cool! I also watched Gilmore Girls while eating some cookies and cream ice cream the other day, and it was so cool!

But probably the most magical moment I've experienced recently was last night. A classmate invited my whole grade (there are less than 20 of us total) to his house for his birthday party (don't worry, we're all vaccinated) and I hung out with my usual group of friends/frenemies (I forgot how I've been referring to them on this blog) the whole night. The whole affair was fun, but probably my favourite moment of the night was at around 9 o'clock.

It was already dark outside, and cloudy. It wasn't rainy, but if you looked at the sky, you could see soft lightning. We couldn't see the lightning itself, just the surrounding white flash. We could only see the edge of the flash, so it wasn't super bright. The air was nice and cool, and some of us, my frenemies and I included, decided to go out to the backyard to watch it. We lay on the grass for a couple of minutes, and it was super amazing. There was a soft breeze that gently brushed across my face, and watching the soft lightning gently flicker was so cool. I was listening to the song Breathe by Faith Hill at the time, which was a super fitting song for some reason.

I also got some cookie cake (I love cookie cake so much!) to go, on top of the slices I ate whilst I was there. Overall, I've had a super cool time this past week, here's to another great week!

So I had today off for parent teacher conferences! It went pretty well (except physics, my teacher complained about me not being "engaged" enough), and afterwards, I watched some Gilmore Girls and ate some neapolitan ice cream out of a mug. Honestly, eating ice cream out of a mug is so much better that eating it out of a bowl in my opinion, because you can drink the melted ice cream way easier after you've eaten all the rest!

Of course, I also did some writing on some projects that I've been working on and I've been considering starting some sort of literary journal or something where students from my city can publish short stories. I should see if one exists, though, since I only really know about stuff going on in my school, which is pretty small, and there are two massive high schools in my area.

I finally did (part of) my reading for school yesterday! I also watched some Clarissa Explains It All and Golden Girls! I didn't do as much writing yesterday, though, because I kinda felt a bit under the weather today. :( (Don't worry, I'm feeling better now and I checked my temperature and I don't have a fever!)
