Well, today was... a lot! I had my computer science final this afternoon, and before that I had to try and motivate myself to do some work. I had a chicken salad, a breadstick and some fries for lunch, which was really good! I think I did pretty well on my compsci final, and afterwards I sat near this guy I really like in the library! I was reading some of my favourite British literature in an attempt to capture his attention (he's an English major) but I think I failed. Oh well! A friend of mine who knows him said she'd introduce us but given it's finals week I don't know if she'll have time. Why is it that when I finally have a crush who I can trust would be a good boyfriend, and I've gotten to a place where I almost (keyword almost) have the courage to tell him something about it, it's finals week? I'm going to have to see if any of my friends can sus his Instagram account or something. Even though I don't like Instagram. And I haven't posted to my account in like a year, so it might be suspicious. But I digress!

I also had my linguistics final today, which was on-line, so I did it with a friend from my k-pop club (the professor lets us do tests with our friends--I feel like she doesn't care, but in a good way) and then we had dinner afterwards. It was really fun! I think I needed some social interaction today after holing up studying and taking exams for the past few days.

I'm really gonna miss my college friends this summer! I live in this small little town about two or three hours from the city where most of my friends from college live. Thankfully, I'm going to be able to meet up with Blue and Green though! And hopefully Pink (for blog newcomers--a longtime friend since childhood who's now going to college in Europe. Sadly he seems to have drifted away from most of us stateside, though) as well, and some other old friends. And hopefully I'll also finally get a car so I can drive to my friends' house and maybe even drive into the city to visit my college friends!

But yeah, I am exhausted. I also finished my French essay today but I haven't turned it in yet because honestly I really don't want any feedback. I don't want to think about that class anymore! I just want to be done.

I also have a statistics exam to study more for tomorrow, and my English final is halfway done. Hopefully I'll have it done by the weekend, because I'm going on holiday Monday! I'm going abroad to spend a week with family. I'll make posts here about it as the holiday happens, but for now I'll let it be because again, I'm exhausted. I need to go take a shower and get ready for bed. Good night, y'all!

Well, holy crap, y'all! I meant to post this weekend, but my weekend was too jam-packed!

Saturday morning, the two kids I teach English played each other in little league soccer (or whatever it's called. I may be a soccer teacher (does that exist?) but I'm not a soccer mom yet. In any case, I think I might sign my kids up for dance instead.) and since one of the members of my English teaching group is coach for one of their teams, a lot of us went out to support them! It was also a sort of team-building activity, but, y'know, an actually fun one--not a ropes course or crap like that. I HATE ROPES COURSES! Which is why I've always come up with excuses not to go on them. Ha ha ha! Anyways, one of the kids comes from Latin America, and his family had a bunch of snacks from their home country that they shared with us, which was really sweet of them! I don't remember the name, but it was some sort of special bread with chicken, mayo and some various veggies. They were so good! I even got to take one home for dinner that night.

And then as soon as I got home, two of my roommates and I went and had pizza and ice cream! It was really fun, even though I'm always at odds with one of them. I mean, with my three current roommates, I have one I love, that one I have a love-hate relationship with, and the other one that I'm just always annoyed with--but enough of airing my dirty laundry on the Internet. It was a really nice time! And I got them both to like a k-pop song--MAGO by GFRIEND, to be exact.

Then that night, a friend and I went to Wal-Mart! We're in the K-Pop Club together at our college, and we were buying some presents for two of our members, since we have one graduating and one transferring.

The next day, another friend and I went to this little Chinese restaurant in town (who had maybe the best beef and broccoli and vegetable lo mein I've ever had!!) and then went to Wal-Mart again! This time we got a prize for the activity we had planned for our meeting tonight (a Kahoot where we guessed who added what song to our group Spotify playlist) and I got some DVDs, and I got a cookie cake (because I lurrrve cookie cakes) for our meeting tonight. And then I called Blue and Green (for any newcomers to my blog, Blue is my bestie for the restie that I've known since middle school, and Green is our other best friend from high school) until pretty late.

And then there was today! We had our last k-pop club meeting of the semester tonight, and it was a little emotional. Both our leaving members really liked their gifts, which was really heartwarming! I'm gonna miss them all so much but I'm so glad I've gotten to know them. :)

(There was some more here but my browser crashed and I lost it! Grr D:< )

Well, I finally have both my final essay assignments, which makes things easier. I started on my French essay yesterday, and I'm going to start on my English today. I also started studying for my statistics test, a week and a half ahead of time--yay me! And I think we're going to review in my compsci class today. I don't know what else we'd be doing--we had better not be covering any new material! I already have a compsci assignment to finish for Friday, which is less than a week before the final when we don't really have much to study either. He normally gives a little study guide, which I really hope is enough! And then there's linguistics, which is an on-line class, and she always lets us use our notes and all, so I'm not concerned about that. But y'all, I'm so tired. Just over a week left!

I went home this past weekend for tax reasons, and was able to get back into my family's Netflix account (apparently, if you don't log into it at home every month or so you can't use it when away from home) and so today I sat down and watched some Gilmore Girls with my lunch! And it struck me that I feel very Rory Gilmore-esque today. This whole week, even, I feel like I will be very Rory-esque. (Except the fact that I'm writing this in my statistics class right now instead of paying attention... but I'm too busy for that today, in my defense!)

Well, to start, tonight I have to lead a club meeting, as well as an executive board meeting beforehand, so I had to write up an agenda and send out an e-mail, and this, that and the other. And for some reason, after having a very lovely and unstressful week last week, everything seems to have cooperated to make this week busy. I have a big essay due later on in the week that I was too exhausted (something to do with my allergies/allergy meds, I think?) to work on much over the weekend, like I had planned to do. And I have to do exec stuff for one club, and planning, and sign up to run for exec for another next semester. And I have some statistics assignments to do, and a French take-home quiz to do (which was also supposed to be done over the weekend, but my professor didn't send it until almost midnight on Saturday night), and a movie to watch for linguistics, and AGH!

I really don't know how Rory Gilmore was doing this busy extracurricular and studying-all-the-time stuff all throughout high school--I'm in college and it's still such a juggling act. I mean, I literally was juggling just before this class what could I do in class (anything on my computer, because I have the plausible deniability that I was "looking at slides" or something) and what would be gauche (breaking out a book and reading Frankenstein or finding citations for my Jane Eyre essay). I mean, one of the most engaged students in the class (always asking the teacher questions and such) is sitting on his phone right now and has been all class. But still, I do feel bad for not paying closer attention in class--perhaps what's keeping me from being like Rory Gilmore. Although even she had her terrible unacademic, crash-out-y moments during college (I don't want to spoil, but if you know you know!). So perhaps I'm not so unlike her after all, although she isn't a perfect aspirational figure anyway.
