It's been a long time! I've been very busy. Finals time is around the corner looming scarily, even though it's been a week and a half since Halloween! So I've been insanely busy lately, and it feels like I haven't gotten a break in forever.

I went to my summer job work bestie Red's Halloween party on Halloween! It was just me, her and her best friend, and then her roommate and the twenty people he invited. So the three of us hid out in the kitchen until her best friend left since he had work early, and then the roommate and all his friends went to an afterparty. Our cool older cousin-vibes coworker brought his adorable little daughter over to trick or treat as well!! She was the cutest, shiest little princess. :) I about died! (But no, Blue, if you're reading, that doesn't mean I'm going to have a kid yet! LOL) Then Red and I watched weird YouTube videos from back in the day for a few hours (which is my kind of party) until after midnight, and I went home.

The next day I went on a date with the fella I've been dating! Let's call him Grey, because my favourite hoodie of his is grey. :) Anyways, we went out for lunch, and then went thrifting, where we both got some cute clothes, and then had a cute little pizza dinner watching the sunset and got some yummy cookies!

Since then, my life has mostly been unnoteworthy. I'm becoming hyperfixated on Legally Blonde: The Musical, even though it's been quite a while since I saw it! I also went round to a friend's house to play Mario Party on Friday night, which was really fun!

At least I've gotten some time to read a book lately. It's a great reprieve from everything--which is sorely needed, because I've been so busy! I had a draft of a twenty-page paper due Tuesday in my education class, which was a struggle to get done, and then there's been everything else afterwards as well. I'm totally exhausted, and there's still two more weeks to Thanksgiving break!

I am NEVER taking this many credit hours again. I think I've learned my lesson.

Now, off to make some lunch! It's a nice, cold, cozy day so maybe some pasta? I'm excited!

I went to a little Halloween party Saturday night! Some of my friends were having a little Halloween party at one of their apartments and it was really cool. They had a mystery and gave us each clues and hid some more around the apartment, and in some of the activities we did, so we had to work together to solve the mystery. It was really creative! It was a bit awkward at first, because there were a good few people I didn't know there, but as the night went on I think it got better. (That may have also been because the later it got, the loopier I got.)

At one point, when we broke out karaoke, I did "The Boys" by Girls' Generation! I was originally going to do the Korean version because I prefer that version, but we were projecting the karaoke videos on stage and I don't know the Korean perfectly, so I got too embarrassed because I couldn't read that quickly (plus I was trying to dance) but I didn't have plausible deniability that whatever gibberish I was spouting out that vaguely sounded like the Korean version was totally 100% correct, guys! And so I was a bit of a mess, and had to switch to the English version halfway through. Lizzie's Advice: if you don't speak a language, hide the lyrics if you do a karaoke song in that language!

There was also trivia, and some other fun games as well. Everyone else came in their Halloween costume, but the last part of mine didn't arrive till yesterday, so I just went in a cute dress. But it gave me opportunities with my hair! I tried a half-up, half-down style, which I'd never done before, and I thought I pulled it off really well. That's probably my favourite look I've had in a while!

It was a sober party, but we were tired enough we didn't need to get drunk or high anyways. Or at least I was. I've never drunken alcohol or done drugs, but I imagine it doesn't feel that different from when I'm in a social setting past 10 PM. I actually like that it was a sober party! I've gone to a party once where people were drinking and (through no fault, of course, of the people who organize the party!) it can feel a bit odd to be the only person not drinking.

Anyways, I didn't get home until 1! And then, because I'm me, I didn't get home until 2:30 after that, and I had to sleep in till about 11:30 the next morning. I'm still kind of tired! But I had a nice party time :) Girls' Generation would be so proud!

So I've been playing some more Pokemon Pearl recently, and it's been going great! I do wish that I had an Eevee though, as it's my favourite Pokemon. Speaking of Pokemon, my Pokemon page is also going great! I think I'll work a bit more on it today and/or tomorrow and then publish it!

Also, I've just generally had a super week! A few days ago, I turned on the TV and found out that some channel had Gilmore Girls, and then like three or so hours of Facts of Life, two of my favourite shows! Just sitting on the couch and watching my favourite shows is so amazing. It's like how you're more excited when you hear your favourite song on the radio than when you play it on your iPod, seeing on the channel list thingy that your favourite show is playing is super cool! I also watched Gilmore Girls while eating some cookies and cream ice cream the other day, and it was so cool!

But probably the most magical moment I've experienced recently was last night. A classmate invited my whole grade (there are less than 20 of us total) to his house for his birthday party (don't worry, we're all vaccinated) and I hung out with my usual group of friends/frenemies (I forgot how I've been referring to them on this blog) the whole night. The whole affair was fun, but probably my favourite moment of the night was at around 9 o'clock.

It was already dark outside, and cloudy. It wasn't rainy, but if you looked at the sky, you could see soft lightning. We couldn't see the lightning itself, just the surrounding white flash. We could only see the edge of the flash, so it wasn't super bright. The air was nice and cool, and some of us, my frenemies and I included, decided to go out to the backyard to watch it. We lay on the grass for a couple of minutes, and it was super amazing. There was a soft breeze that gently brushed across my face, and watching the soft lightning gently flicker was so cool. I was listening to the song Breathe by Faith Hill at the time, which was a super fitting song for some reason.

I also got some cookie cake (I love cookie cake so much!) to go, on top of the slices I ate whilst I was there. Overall, I've had a super cool time this past week, here's to another great week!
