So yesterday, I went to a museum with my mother and found some interesting things, which I wanted to show you some of. First, there was this TV that looked like a giraffe.

There was also this horrible map, which excluded not only the entire island of Ireland, but half of Nunavut, as well as Hawaii and some other places.

The last thing I want to show you is this painting, which I thought looked rather like Mrs Bennet from the BBC's Pride and Prejudice.

Finally, I want to leave you on two videos. The first is this video by Count Binface, who ran for mayor in London this year.

The second is this video, which is just amazing!

Anyways, that's all that I have to talk about today, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

So yesterday and today, I've been trying to come up with a little tune to serve as the intro for my video diaries. I've made the channel icon and banner 80s-themed/vapourwave, in addition to my website's new logo, which is 80s-inspired, so I wanted it to sound 80s-esque. However, so far, though I've watched videos and dug through Garageband, I can't seem to find anything that sounds how I want it to. I've come up with a short draft, but even that seems a bit too simple, and the only 80s-style bits about it are that the drum loop I used was labelled "80s" and I used synthesizers for it that some guy on YouTube recommended. But alas, I had to resort to royalty-free music, though I think it's pretty cool royalty-free music.

I've also been watching some Sarah Millican clips on YouTube recently. She's a British comedian who has posted a lot of her clips as well as three of her standup shows to YouTube and they're hilarious! If I'm just having a so-so day, then I can pop one of her shows on and be laughing a ton and it'll just brighten my day!

Also, today, I (begrudgingly) went out for dinner for the first time since COVID, with my parents there as well. I had myself some toasted ravioli and french fries, which were both amazing, and my parents chatted with the owner for a bit before we made our way home. I also, of course, watched more Facts of Life this morning, which (other than two taped episodes I watched yesterday) were the first Facts of Life that I've watched this week, as yesterday, when Facts of Life normally airs, there was a marathon of Married with Children on. I don't know how long it was on for before I checked, but I looked at the TV guide feature thing on the TV at about 11 AM, and it was on until ELEVEN PM! How can you watch one show for so long?

Anyways, that's pretty much all that I have to talk about, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye!

So recently, I've been working behind the scenes on a potential redesign of this site. It has a space/star background, and an 80s-inspired logo, and a slightly different colour scheme for links and stuff. Right below is an image with a comparison between my current design on the left and my potential redesign on the right.

So yeah, tell me which one you prefer on my Neocities profile.

But yeah, other than that, my life has been carrying on like before, for the most part. However, I'm pretty annoyed atm because I noticed that the Facts of Life reruns that I've watching a) are only on Monday through Thursday and b) have quite a few bits cut out, as well as the theme song sped up in some instances to make room for more annoying adverts. Why must the Logo channel do this?!?
Also, it's been raining super hard recently where I live. Honestly, I'm pretty sure that this is the most rain that I've seen in a 36-hour period in my whole life, and there's been over ten cm since last evening. Plus, (much to my delight) it's supposed to be rainy until at least Thursday, though I hope it calms down somewhat. Below I have a bit of footage that I took of the rain, so you all can see just how hard it's been raining.

By the way, I've been uploading some short clips of cool things that I see on my YouTube channel, so if that sounds cool to you, then go check that out!
But yeah, that's pretty much all that I have to say, so I'll talk to you later. Bye!

Hey, I'm back! So quite a few things have happened recently. First off, I've been watching more Facts of Life, and apparently it's on weekdays from 11 AM to around 4 PM, so that's around 10 episodes a day! Anyways, I really love the show and I love laying on the couch and watching it. Also, because of The Facts of Life, I've started to love 80s/90s design, and I kinda like the vapourwave aesthetic. I may well redesign the site around that in the future, but I'd have to do a lot of experimenting first, so I don't eff it up. But I did manage to make an 80s-inspired logo for this site, however, which you might find around the site soon.

Also, I've been considering being a Vtuber after one of my favourite YouTubers, Wolfychu, made a livetreaming Vtuber channel where she makes gaming videos, and I kinda wanna do the same. If you don't know what a Vtuber is, it's a YouTuber or Twitch streamer who, instead of using their face, use 2D or 3D characters, which are normally anime-inspired.

Other than that, my grandparents stopped by today as my grandpa had a doctor's appointment in the city I live in, and we watched some Facts of Life, and my grandma gave me $20. It was the first time that I'd seen them in quite a while, so it was pretty fun!

But yeah, that's pretty much all, and I'm gonna go now. Bye!

So recently, over the past few days I've been watching a ton of YouTube videos by The Internet Investigator, someone who looks into Internet mysteries. For some reason, I hate most horror/creepy stuff, but I love Internet mysteries and stuff. Honestly, I kinda wanna like make some sort of Internet mystery game. I considered using another site I run (though it's pretty inactive) to set one up, and made a couple Geocities sites and stuff to set it up, but it hasn't really came up to much as it would be a ton of committment.

In other news, I finished watching Pride and Prejudice yesterday, and OMG COLIN FIRTH'S MR DARCY IS MY NEW DREAM HUSBAND! (Update: as of 2022, I no longer fawn over Colin Firth. I'm not going to say anymore. 2022 Lizzie out!) (New update: as of 2023, I no longer have my weird grudge against Colin Firth. Again, no more context, LOL. 2023 Lizzie out!)

Ahem. So anyways, it was a super amazing series! Apparently, according to iMDB, the woman who played Dawn in The Office UK was the same person who played Maria.

So back in school type news, one of my least favourite teachers is going to be gone today, so that's always a cause for happiness. But on the other hand, we have a somewhat substantial project for his class due tomorrow and as seems to be the case rather often, we don't have enough time. And it's not even the final project, which we'll probably only have like two weeks to work on. Also, we're getting the prompts for our final essay for English tomorrow, which I'm kind of excited about somehow.

Also, in terms of English, we recently had to do a creative assignment. One group from my class came up with the best idea ever, which I won't say here because I don't want anybody else to steal their idea. My group had to write an alternate ending for Macbeth, which involved dance battles (to the song Money for Nothing), as well as the three witches sarcastically commented while everybody was dance-battling. It was amazing.

But yeah, lunch period is getting pretty close to being over as it's currently 12:53, so bye!

So spring break is over! :( Honestly, last week was a super great week. I think being able to sleep in until 8:30 instead of the 7:30 that I normally wake up at definitely helped! I've been writing some more on my new WIP, and it's coming along really nicely! One of the best parts of the writing process is when you're processing your story's plot in your mind and you come up with a super great addition/plot point to add!

Recently, I've also watched The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on YouTube, which, if you don't know, is basically the story of Pride and Prejudice retold in a modern view through the medium of vlogging, and it's super entertaining! I watched all 100 episodes in about 2 days! You should all go watch it (after you've finished checking out my site, of course!)

So, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries got me thinking: what if I made my own video diaries? I'm still unsure about it, but if I decide to make video diaries, you all here will be the first to know!

In quickfire "other news",

  1. I want to find out how to make a gallery feature for the Verivery page on my site, so if anyone knows how to do that, then please comment on my guestbook!
  2. I've been reading a lot of books by Sarah Dessen, and they're great! You all should go read her books.
  3. At some point, I had a flashback to Glove and Boots, a YouTube channel that I absolutely loved back in around 2016 and 2017! It seems they stopped making content back in 2019/2020, though which is super sad, but after checking one of their Twitter accounts, it seems that they've just been held up by COVID.

Today's my last day off school :(

Also, for some reason I woke up at 6:30 AM and remembered that I forgot to cite my sources on my essay. Shite. But at this point, there's not really anything that I can do about that until I do my final draft. (Actually, never mind -- I snuck it in and I don't think that my teacher reviewed it yet.)

In other news, I want to read the Divine Comedy by Dante, but the only translation I found that I can download for free is utterly confusing and hard to read. I also read Plato's Republic recently for school, and that also suffered from the same issue. It's translated into modern English, yet somehow (my bet is the tone that it's written in), it's just hard to read and grasp like I would read and grasp a normal novel. Maybe the poetic nature also has something to do with it as both were written in stanzas and rhymes? I think that may be the problem with Dante but Plato definitely needed a tone adjustment as well.

Anyway, for understanding a lot of classic (and modern classic) novels, I discovered a cool YouTube channel a while ago called Overly Sarcastic Productions. It's run by these two people, and one covers a lot of novels and literary tropes, and the other talks about history! They're super helpful and super cool!

Anyways, I think that's enough rambling for now, so I'll talk to you later!

Happy almost Valentine's day! I want a boyfriend :( So this morning you might've noticed that I added pages to the blog, which I did so I don't end up with like 53 posts on one page. I've also been watching a lot of unsolved mysteries/internet mysteries on YouTube, because they've been super interesting to me recently. It's a bit odd that I like them so much, since I've never been one for horror/creepy things, but they're just so... interesting??? Anyways I'm gonna go watch some more and do some writing, so ttyl!
